Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood writer and actress who has been recognized for her talents. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December, 1960. She is the oldest out of the three children who were born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) and Anne Smith, a psychologist. She has English and Scottish ancestry. In the course of her father's employment, the Moore family often relocated and she had to work hard to make relationships or keep them. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany at the time her parents relocated to America. She began performing on stage. In 1983 she received the BA in Fine Arts degree from Boston University. In 1983 she graduated with a B.F.A. Moore started her theater career off-Broadway and in New York, after she had graduated. She made her screen debut in 1985, with a scene of The Edge of Night. She played the dual role of Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in the show As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. In 1988 she was an actress on the show, and won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, her debut cinematic appearance was in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The movie was later criticized as a poor low-budget film. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), as well as 3 Women (1997), were both directed by Robert Altman.
